Richard is the owner and founder of the practice and started by working his way through law school. He has a background in title work and has worked in the real estate area since he was in law school. He's worked with a lot of foreclosures over the years, including specializing in the area for the first five years in the Chicago.


Richard is an attorney with more than 35 years of professional experience, specializing in commercial real estate and litigation, including federal and state trial and appellate experience. He has also drafted and negotiated commercial loan documents, real estate contracts, and leases. He trained in real estate at Chicago Title Insurance Company, where he worked as a title examiner during law school. Richard has represented both buyers and sellers in sale and purchase transactions, along with landlords and tenants in commercial and residential lease transactions.

Richard has represented banks and financial institutions, including the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, in real estate transactions and litigation. He was also represented landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions and litigation, contractors in mechanics' lien foreclosure proceedings, and plaintiffs and defendants in equitable proceedings, including quiet title, accounting, equitable liens, and partition actions. Additionally, he has argued cases in federal and state trial courts, appellate courts, and the Illinois Supreme Court. Finally, he has represented parties in arbitration and mediation before the American Arbitration Association.

Here, Caroline provides legal counsel to mortgage lenders in the areas of consumer and non-consumer loan foreclosure, real estate transactions, contract litigation, and bankruptcy. She also represents mortgage lenders in connection with housing court, forcible entry, and detainer cases, along with building code violation cases. She has prepared and argued various contested motions in State and Federal Court, including Motions for Summary Judgment and Motions to Dismiss. Additionally, she has drafted and responded to multiple discover requests, including Interrogatories, Requests to Produce, and Requests to Admit and Conduct Oral Depositions.
